This festive season Annington is bringing Christmas to the patients and staff at Medway NHS Foundation Hospital, by donating a Christmas Memory Tree, close to its development of refurbished homes at Sovereign Gate in Brompton.
Annington has donated the tree to the hospital for patients and staff who aren’t able to celebrate Christmas at home with their friends or family this year.
The hospital can create cherished memories of loved ones by hand-writing messages on decorative wooden baubles and placing them on the tree, helping to bring cheer to what can be a lonely time of year. The hospital has placed the tree in its Chapel, providing a quiet place for reflection and remembrance.
Stacy Whitehead, Marketing Manager at Annington, commented: “We hope this Memory Tree brings the holiday spirit to the patients and staff at Medway Hospital, thanking them for their hard work and commitment to the NHS. It can be hard being away from loved ones, especially at Christmas, but we hope that this provides a way to share and reflect on those precious memories this season.”
Reverend Ruth Bierbaum, Lead Chaplin at Medway NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Thank you to Annington for their generous gift that brightens up our chapel and our spirits. Being in hospital during Christmas can be isolating for our patients, but cherishing memories of loved ones helps make that distance smaller.”
Situated in Brompton, Kent, Sovereign Gate offers a collection of ex-MOD apartments, maisonettes and houses refurbished by Annington. With properties including new and updated kitchens, bathrooms, roofs and floor coverings, pricing starts from £295,000 for a three-bedroom home.
