Annington is set to launch its latest release of refurbished homes in West London in the newly regenerated borough of Hounslow. The first phase will compromise of two and three-bedroom homes on Cavalry Green which borders a large open green space and will be available for sale at the beginning of November.
The development sees rarely available houses with gardens and allocated parking, some with garages, within walking distance of Hounslow West Station. Located on a private street in a well-established residential area, the former married quarter’s properties have been lightly refurbished by Annington ahead of sale. Following stamp duty cuts announced by chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng in the latest mini-budget, buyers at this development could make significant savings on their home purchase. Homebuyers will pay no stamp duty on the first £250,000 of their home, while first time buyers are exempt from this tax on properties valued below £425,000.
Alan Woods, Senior Branch Manager at Your Move, comments: “Hounslow is very much a unique microcosm within the wider London market. These properties are being released at a really exciting time of transformation within the borough, thanks to a multi-million pound investment in the newly regenerated high street. It’s no surprise that Hounslow remains a busy local market, Hounslow is extremely well connected to central London, so we are expecting to see a number of priced out Londoners migrate outwards to these suburbs, as prices are considerably more reasonable than surrounding boroughs such as Richmond, Kensington and Ealing. As such, we anticipate lots of first time buyers and young families taking advantage of this opportunity to buy a home in the local area.”
Hounslow forms a crucial parcel of the west London regeneration corridor, which has seen over £765m invested by stakeholders since 2016. The newly redeveloped town centre is home to a pedestrianised high street, with two brand new event spaces, a setting for a regular market, alongside a number of brand new shops, restaurants, cafes and a multiplex cinema.
Louise Saunders, Sales and Marketing Manager at Annington, adds: “The exciting new regeneration is putting this once overlooked corner of west London back on the map. While we are expecting most of our buyers to be first time homeowners and families living locally, with demand set to be high for these properties, I recommend contacting our agents as soon as possible to register your interest.”
Cavalry Green is located close to some of Hounslow’s best regarded schools, including Beavers Community Primary School (Ofsted Outstanding) just a five minute walk away, St Michael and St Martin Catholic Primary School (ranked in the top three per cent of schools in England), and Hounslow Town Primary School (Ofsted Good). Hounslow West Parade is just a short walk away, offering a number of convenient shops and cafes, while Hounslow West Station reaches central London in under 40 minutes via the Piccadilly Line.
