Pupils at Clewer Green CofE First School in Windsor rang in King Charles’ Coronation last week thanks to a donation from Annington, who sponsored the school’s afternoon tea party. Annington, who is refurbishing homes nearby at The Crescent, donated £350 to the festivities, which saw students, teachers and community members come together in celebration.
The school hall underwent a royal transformation ahead of the afternoon tea, and the pupils created their own crowns before enjoying the feast. Annington’s donation helped to cover the costs of providing art supplies, so every child was able to make a commemorative coaster to mark this special occasion.
Martin Tinsley, Headteacher at Clewer Green C of E First School, adds: “We all had lots of fun giving the pupils the royal treatment to celebrate the King’s Coronation! We want to thank Annington for its donation towards the event. Donations such as these allow us to commemorate occasions like the Coronation, during a time when school budgets are already thinly stretched.”
Stacy Whitehead, Marketing Manager at Annington, added: “At Annington, we strive to establish and foster strong relationships with the communities we become a part of. Our collection of homes in Windsor are just a short walk from the school, as we grow the community with future residents, we’re proud to work with our neighbouring school and trust this is the beginning of a blossoming partnership. We’re so pleased we could aid the Coronation celebrations and hope everyone enjoyed themselves at the afternoon tea!”
Annington is responsible for refurbishing ex-MOD properties in Windsor, with the first phase of homes proving to be popular. There are a variety still available with prices at Cavalry Crescent start at £475,000 for a two-bedroom home.
