Annington's ESG Performance Report 2023-2024

We are delighted to share our ESG Report for 2023-24. This is our third year of reporting and, to transparently demonstrate our progress, we are reporting with reference to the GRI Standards for the first time.

Put simply, we’re dedicated to making things better. Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives recognise that a changing society demands a changing outlook, particularly regarding environmental issues.

Last year, as part of our continuing commitment to corporate responsibility, we took a fresh look at our approach to ESG with the help of a specialist ESG and sustainability consultancy.

We reviewed our achievements and successes and looked at areas where we could improve.  The recommendations of that review are helping us to better align with reporting frameworks and standards including

  • Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosure (TCFD)
  • Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)
  • Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB)

and particularly

  • UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

where we are making a substantial contribution.

Together, under review from the Board, we will strive to embed sustainability and responsibility across the entire business and report our progress clearly to all our stakeholders.

Socio-Economic Benefits Assessments

Lichfields have undertaken several socio-economic assessments to help us understand the effect we are having in the places where we are bringing homes back to the market. The reports show the positive impact we are making on the communities we work in at Bordon and Brize Norton, as well as our most recent refurbishment project at Bulford.
